Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested at dawn Friday three leaders of the Hamas Movement after raiding their homes in al-Khalil.
Local sources said that IOF arrested the former Minister of Local Government Eng. Issa Al-Jabari MP Sheikh Hatem Qafisha and the released prisoner Sheikh Mazen Al-Natsheh after storming their houses.
The three Hamas leaders had been arrested previously by the IOF several times.
Since the announcement of the Palestinian elections IOF has escalated its arrest campaigns against Hamas leaders summoning them and warning them against participating in the electoral process.
In a separate development in Occupied Jerusalem the Israeli police assaulted the young man Uday al-Awri after which he was taken to hospital.
The occupation police arrested his two brothers Wissam and Bisan Al-Awri after breaking into their home in Wadi al-Joz in Jerusalem.
