Hamas Movement has denounced the announcement by Kosovo of opening an embassy in Occupied Jerusalem.
Hazem Qassem a Hamas spokesman in Gaza said in a press release on Monday that the announcement is in violation of international resolutions and humanitarian considerations other than representing a blatant bias in favor of the Israeli occupation.
He opined that Kosovo was encouraged to embark on such a step following the normalization of relations between some Arab countries and Israel.
The spokesman stressed that Jerusalem will remain Palestinian and its Arab identity will never be erased adding that all attempts to change that fact by the occupation will fail.
Kosovo opened its embassy In Jerusalem on Sunday weeks after establishing relations with Israel.
