The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on Friday delivered a stop-work notice ordering a halt to the maintenance of a road in Umm ar-Rihan village which is located on the northwestern hills of Jenin province.
Local official Bilal Zaid said that the Israeli order prohibited the local authorities from continuing to carry out essential maintenance work on the road leading to al-Butmah neighborhood in the village.
Zaid pointed out that the road maintenance was funded by the village council and the municipality of Barta’ah.
While persisting in expanding Jewish settlements and outposts and building roads connecting them in the occupied West Bank the IOA and its military keep launching demolition and stop-work campaigns against Palestinian homes buildings and roads.
