Hordes of Jewish settlers on Wednesday night stormed Kifl Haris town north of Salfit in the occupied West Bank and performed rituals at ancient Islamic shrines.
Local sources said that a large number of settlers entered the town overnight after a large number of Israeli troops were deployed through its streets and on the rooftops of some houses.
The Israeli occupation forces also closed entrances to some neighborhoods and prevented local residents from moving in the cordoned area the sources added.
The settlers started flocking to the Islamic shrines in the town aboard buses at 10 o’clock at night and stayed until an early hour at dawn.
The shrines have been repeatedly exposed to acts of sabotage and arson attacks by settlers.
