The Israeli occupation police on Wednesday morning kidnaped Sheikh Ekrima Sabri head of the Higher Islamic Council in Occupied Jerusalem from his home in as-Suwannah neighborhood in east Jerusalem.
According to his family police forces encircled the house before intelligence officers stormed it and savagely hauled Sheikh Sabri to a detention center in the holy city.
The police detained Sheikh Sabri one day before Muslim worshipers flock to the Aqsa Mosque to mark the Isra and Mi’raj anniversary.
Two days ago Sheikh Sabri urged Muslim worshipers to march en masse to the Mosque to pray and attend lessons about the occasion.
