The Israeli occupation army on Wednesday ordered Palestinian citizens in Birin village in Masafer Yatta south of al-Khalil to stop reclaiming or using their lands.
According to local sources the Israeli army’s civil administration delivered military notices to the local residents of Birin village ordering them to stop reclaiming or working their swaths of land at the pretext the area is state land.
Local official Rateb Jabour said that the Israeli army claimed that the land of Birin village had been belonging to the Israeli government since 1982.
Jabour described such Israeli measure as part of the ethnic cleansing policy pursued by the Israeli occupation state against the local residents in Masafer Yatta pointing out that the Israeli army recently demolished three homes and one residential room in Khilat al-Dabaa area.
