The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Wednesday raided homes and kidnaped Palestinian citizens during campaigns in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
According to local sources the IOF stormed Jenin city and kidnaped senior Islamic Jihad official Bassam al-Saadi and his nephew Abdul-Rahman from their homes.
A young man identified as Ali Abu Baker was also kidnaped from his home in Ya’bad town west of Jenin.
Meanwhile a child was reportedly injured during violent clashes last night between local youths and Israeli forces in Jenin refugee camp.
In Ramallah the IOF kidnaped a young man identified as Areeb Dirweesh from his home in Birzeit town.
Another young man was also taken prisoner in Nablus city. He was identified as 20-year-old Nadhem Ashour.
The IOF also stormed other areas of the West Bank and raided homes with no reported arrests.
In Jerusalem police forces raided homes in Jabel Mukaber neighborhood and kidnaped two young men from the family of Obeidat.
They also kidnaped Jihad Abu Zanina head of the Women’s Center in Shuafat refugee camp east Jerusalem and raided the house of a young man called Ibrahim Hamed in the Wadi al-Joz (north of the Old City) shortly after releasing him.
Earlier police forces on Tuesday evening assaulted and kidnaped two brothers along with their sister as well as two young men near the Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of Jerusalem. They also assaulted other citizens in the area.
