Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Wednesday that 12 deaths 761 new cases of the coronavirus and 578 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the new deaths in the West Bank were distributed as follows: Ramallah and Al-Bireh 2 Tulkarem 2 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 1 Nablus 3 Qalqilya 1 and Tubas 2 in addition to one death in the Gaza Strip.
She stated that the new cases were recorded according to the following: Salfit 65 the suburbs of Jerusalem 47 Bethlehem 59 al-Khalil 99 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 131 Tulkarem 29 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 8 Nablus 77 Jenin 27 Qalqilya 18 Tubas 2 and the Gaza Strip 199.
The new recoveries were recorded as follows: Salfit 12 the suburbs of Jerusalem 0 Bethlehem 21 al-Khalil 31 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 35 Tulkarem 28 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 3 Nablus 57 Jenin 14 Qalqilya 2 Tubas 19 and the Gaza Strip 199 the minister added.
She noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 93.7 percent while the rate of active infections reached 5.2 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
Kailah pointed out that there are 60 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 17 who have been placed on ventilators.
