Palestinians injured during IOF attacks in Nablus

Friday 5-February-2021

Several Palestinians were injured on Friday afternoon during clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in Beit Dajan town and al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya village in Nablus province.

According to local sources the IOF suppressed a peaceful popular march staged by local residents in Beit Dajan town and showered the participants with stun grenades and tear gas canisters.

Many citizens suffered from their exposure to tear gas during the events.

Local sources said that the participants in the march were heading for Palestinian-owned lands where Jewish settlers had established outposts on them.

In al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya village several local residents had shrapnel injuries from stun grenades or suffered from inhaling tear gas fumes as they confronted extremist Jewish settlers during their attempt to attack the historic Khan al-Lubban caravansary under military protection.

In recent months and weeks Israeli soldiers and settlers intensified their attacks on the ancient caravansary which is owned by a Palestinian citizen and wreaked havoc on the place.
