Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Friday that 11 deaths 517 new infections of the coronavirus and 520 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Kailah confirmed in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 8 deaths were recorded in the West Bank as follows: Nablus 2 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 1 al-Khalil 1 Jenin 3 and Tulkarem 1 in addition to 3 deaths in the Gaza Strip.
She stated that the new cases were distributed according to the following: Tubas 15 Salfit 14 Bethlehem 28 Nablus 47 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 44 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 6 Jenin 21 Tulkarem 11 al-Khalil 27 Qalqilya 5 and the Gaza Strip 357.
The new recoveries were recorded as follows: Tubas 12 Salfit 17 Bethlehem 14 Nablus 44 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 45 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 0 Jenin 9 Tulkarem 32 al-Khalil 46 Qalqilya 10 and the Gaza Strip 282 the minister added.
She noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 93.8 percent while the rate of active infections reached 5.1 percent and the death rate was 1.1% of all infections.
Kailah pointed out that there are 64 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 20 who have been placed on ventilators.
