Settlers attack injure Palestinian elderly and his son in W. Bank

Wednesday 13-January-2021

A Palestinian elderly citizen and his son suffered injuries on Wednesday morning when a horde of Jewish settlers and soldiers physically assaulted them on their own land in Khirbet at-Tawil hamlet southeast of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.

According to eyewitnesses a number of settlers and soldiers severely beat an elderly farmer and his son as they were working their swath of land in Khirbet at-Tawil.

The farmers suffered head injuries and were transferred to a hospital for medical assistance.

About two days ago settlers started plowing swaths of privately owned land in Khirbet at-Tawil in an attempt to seize the area.

In a separate incident the Israeli occupation army on the same day bulldozed Palestinian-owned swaths of land and more than 80 olive and almond trees in the east of Beit Ummar town north of al-Khalil city.

Local activist Mohamed Awad said that the agricultural lands belong to a local resident called Isam Abu Ayyash adding that the Israeli army took such measure despite the presence of an Israeli court verdict allowing Abu Ayyash to take care of his groves in the area.
