Extremist Jewish settlers on Friday went on the rampage through the historic Khan al-Lubban caravansary in al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya village south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
Owner of the caravansary Khaled Daraghmeh said that settlers from the illegal settlement of Ma’ale Levona wreaked havoc on his caravansary in the village destroying doors water pipelines the spring and many orange trees.
Daraghmeh added that his property had been exposed to frequent attacks before by settlers with the aim of seizing the place and annexing it to nearby illegal settlements.
Khan al-Lubban dates back to the Ottoman era and stretches over an area of 300 dunums.
In a separate incident another group of settlers attacked on the same days several Palestinian homes in Masafer Yatta area south of al-Khalil.
Local official Fuaad al-Amour said that armed settlers from the illegal outpost of Mitzpe Yair stormed under military protection some villages in Masafer Yatta region ransacked several homes and assaulted local residents.
Meanwhile other Jewish thugs blocked the main entrances to the hamlets of Umm al-Khair Tuwanah and Shi’ab al-Battam in Masafer Yatta and embarked on intercepting and searching cars and harassing passengers.
