Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Sunday that 17 deaths 1639 new infections of coronavirus and 1987 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
Kailah stated in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that the new COVID-19 victims were distributed as follows: Nablus 2 Jenin 4 Tulkarem 1 Bethlehem 2 Salfit 1 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 1 and the Gaza Strip 6.
She said that the new cases were recorded according to the following: al-Khalil 168 Jenin 163 Nablus 245 Tulkarem 127 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 253 Salfit 29 Qalqilya 52 Tubas 31 Bethlehem 85 the suburbs of Jerusalem 62 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 18 and the Gaza Strip 406.
The new recoveries were distributed as follows: al-Khalil 209 Jenin 218 Nablus 118 Tulkarem 104 Bethlehem 277 Salfit 93 Tubas 43 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 89 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 11 Qalqilya 125 and Gaza Strip 700 she added.
The minister noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 79 percent while the rate of active infections reached 20.1 percent and the death rate was 0.9% of all infections.
Kailah pointed out that there are 93 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 30 who have been placed on ventilators.
