The Hamas Movement has affirmed that it intends to mark its 33rd founding anniversary through holding only online and media activities due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Head of Hamas’s popular activity office Mohamed al-Turk told Quds Press that the commemoration of the Movement’s inception anniversary would be confined to online and media activities with no public gatherings.
Turk said that this year’s anniversary would be celebrated under the slogan “Palestine…under the Guardianship of the Free” pointing out that a few number of journalists would be allowed to attend the official launch of these activities that would be announced in a news conference to be held on December 13 outside the house of martyr Sheikh Ahmed Yassin the founder of Hamas.
In the same context al-Aqsa satellite channel will air on December 14 a keynote speech to be delivered by head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya on the occasion as well as an operetta about the Movement and its history.
