Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health announced on Friday that17 deaths 1968 new infections of coronavirus and 1956 recoveries were recorded during the past 24 hours.
She stated in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 10 deaths were recorded in the West Bank as follows: Bethlehem 2 Jenin 3 Tulkarem 2 Nablus 2 and Qalqilya 1 in addition to 7 deaths in the Gaza Strip.
The minister said that the new cases were distributed according to the following: al-Khalil 211 Jenin 185 Bethlehem 116 Nablus 204 Tulkarem 98 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 158 Tubas 43 Salfit 72 Qalqilya 37 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 11 the Gaza Strip 788 and the suburbs of Jerusalem 45.
The new recovery cases were recorded as follows: al-Khalil 143 Jenin 110 Nablus 189 Tulkarem 105 Ramallah and al-Bireh 148 Salfit 74 Qalqilya 50 Jericho and Al-Aghwar 12 Tubas 60 Bethlehem 141 the Gaza Strip 746 and the suburbs of Jerusalem 178 she elaborated.
The minister noted that the recovery rate of coronavirus reached 76.5 percent while the rate of active infections reached 22.7 percent and the death rate was 0.8% of all infections.
Kailah pointed out that there are 71 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 20 who have been placed on ventilators.
