Israeli bulldozers belonging to Jewish settlers on Sunday embarked under military protection on bulldozing Palestinian-owned swaths of land in the west of Salfit city.
According to eyewitnesses about 10 bulldozers guarded by armed settlers carried out large-scale bulldozing activities in the areas of al-Ras and al-Mahajer in the west of Salfit.
50 dunums of these lands were planted with olive trees and belong to local farmers.
According to local sources the bulldozing activities on privately owned lands could be a prelude to building a new illegal settlement in the area near the settlement of Ariel.
There was no information if olive groves sustained destruction during the bulldozing activities.
In another incident a horde of Jewish settlers on Sunday seized swaths of Palestinian land in al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya south of Nablus and started to plant them with olive trees.
A Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporter said that local villagers reported seeing a group of settlers escorted by soldiers planting swaths of land in an area of their village with olive trees.
