Hamas asked the world community on Sunday to turn its slogan of solidarity with the Palestinian people into deeds that end Israeli occupation of their land and enable them to live a dignified life.
Abdul-latif al-Qanu a Hamas spokesman said in a written statement on the occasion of the international day of solidarity with the Palestinian people that the day was allocated to remind the world with the Palestinian people’s just cause and legitimate rights.
He said “Our people’s oppression and daily suffering as a result of occupation and siege should be a constant reminder” .
The UN General Assembly allocated that day back in 1977 which is the same day when the UNGA passed the Palestine partition resolution 181 in 1947.
