The Palestinian health ministry on Tuesday reported 17 new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 1946 new positive tests and 555 recoveries in the West Bank Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report 14 of the new victims who died of the virus are from different areas of the West Bank and Jerusalem and three from Gaza.
54 critically ill COVID-19 patients are also receiving intensive care in hospitals and nine of them have been placed on ventilators.
82.2 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 17 percent and the rate of deaths is 0.8 percent of the total cases according to data updated today by the ministry.
