Salfit– IOF troops in the West Bank and around Gaza Strip have intensified their military aggressions against Palestinian citizens in both regions Wednesday as they fired at Palestinian citizens in the Strip and ransacked Palestinian homes in the West Bank.
Two Palestinian farmers in Beit Lahia city in northern Gaza Strip were wounded when IOF troops opened their machinegun fire at a group of Palestinian farmers cultivating their crops in a fresh Israeli violation of the truce.
In the West Bank IOF troops manning the Zatara checkpoint near Salfit city blocked the passage of a Palestinian ambulance carrying a sick Palestinian citizen to hospital.
According to eyewitnesses the Israeli soldiers forced the ambulance driver to get off and seized him for hours which jeopardized life of the sick Palestinian.
In the same context lawyer of the PA prisoners’ affairs ministry Shireen Araki warned that health condition of Palestinian inmate Abdullah Zawahri was gravely deteriorating as he suffered a serious nervous breakdown three months ago while in Beer Sheba prison; but was medically neglected by his jailors which according to her led to aggravating his bad health condition.
The lawyer urged human rights and legal organizations to immediately intervene to salvage life of Zawahri.
Tens of Palestinian inmates were suffering of chronic diseases but the Israeli prisons authority (IPA) wasn’t extending the needed medical attention to them in flagrant violation of the simplest rights of prisoner.
Palestinian inmate Khader Bani Aoudeh 32 lost his eye after he was hit by an Israeli soldier with a blade in his face a year ago.
The IPA refused to extend medical help to Aoudeh over that long period that almost led to losing sight in the affected eye.
An Israeli military court in Salfit city extended administrative detention of Palestinian citizen Hussam Harb after detaining him for one whole year.
Harb works as Imam of a local mosque in the city and wasn’t charged of any crime. He is the breadwinner of a family of ten individuals.
