The Palestinian leader Ahmad Abu Daqqa was assassinated on Thursday evening in an Israeli air raid to the east of Khan Yunis refugee camp in the southern Gaza Strip.
Abu Daqqa member of the military council of Al-Quds Brigades the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad was killed in an Israeli airstrike on a Palestinian house in Bani Suheila area to the east of Khan Yunis.
The assassination of Abu Daqqa brought the number of Palestinians killed in the current Israeli attack on Gaza to 28 Palestinians including five leaders from the Al-Quds Brigades.
Earlier at dawn Ali Ghali commander of the group’s rockets unit was martyred in an Israeli air raid in the south of the Gaza Strip along with his brother Mahmoud.
According to the Palestinian ministry of health 28 people including 6 children 4 women and two elderly have been killed and 80 others were injured since the beginning of the new Israeli aggression launched on Gaza at dawn Tuesday.
