Dozens of Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday morning in separate groups under heavy police protection.
Jerusalemite sources reported that the Israeli police closed the Maghareba Gate after the settlers’ morning incursions adding that 52 settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The sources pointed out that the settler groups roamed the courtyards of the Mosque and the incursions were concentrated in the eastern region of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and near the Al-Rahma Gate prayer hall.
The sources added that the Israeli police stormed several areas in the Mosque and carried out checks for alleged jamming devices.
Meanwhile the so-called Temple Mount Heritage Foundation called for organizing a Jewish storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque led by Tommy Nissani Arnon Segal and a group of extremists. They showed a live broadcast of the storming and guided tours on the Zoom program.
The Temple groups had urged the Israeli occupation authorities to tighten their grip over Jerusalemites harass them and banish them from Jerusalem. They pointed out the necessity of exploiting the American support for Israel and push towards more Judaization projects.
For its part the Islamic movement in Jerusalem called on Jerusalemites and all Palestinians to re-launch the Great Dawn (prayer) initiative.
The movement called on the free people of the Arab and Islamic nations to support the people of Jerusalem.
