An Israeli court on Sunday issued a 10-month prison sentence against Palestinian journalist Hamdallah Mardawi from Hableh town in the south of Qalqilya.
Mardawi’s father said that the court verdict was taken following multiple hearings held for him recently.
The father explained that his son was taken prisoner on September 23 at the Allenby (Karama) crossing with Jordan after he returned from Malaysia where he earned a master’s degree in public relations and media.
He added that the Israeli intelligence service transferred his son to Petah Tikva interrogation center immediately after his arrest at the crossing and extended his detention several times.
