Settlers destroy dozens of olive trees bulldoze land in Jalud town

Tuesday 3-November-2020

A horde of extremist Jewish settlers on Tuesday wreaked havoc on an olive grove and carried out bulldozing activities in Jalud town south of Nablus city in the occupied West Bank.

Local official Ghassan Daghlas said that settlers from the illegal settlement of Kida broke and chopped off dozens of decades-old olive trees in the southern area (Basin No. 18).

The settlers also bulldozed vast tracts of land belonging to a local resident called Jibril Mahmoud.

In recent weeks Israeli settlers — with the help of the Israeli occupation army — started to sabotage the Palestinian olive harvest season through destroying and burning olive trees or stealing crops.

Jewish settlers repeatedly attack Palestinian-owned agricultural lands and property in the West Bank where there are over 200 illegal settlements and dozens of small outposts.

Incidents of terrorism and violence by extremist Jewish settlers against Palestinians and their property are a daily occurrence throughout the West Bank.
