Gaza- The Palestinian teachers syndicate and the Islamic bloc of medical professions on Wednesday staged a massive march in Gaza streets out of appreciation to the Qatari initiative of paying their salaries.
Mohammed Siyam the head of the teachers’ syndicate addressed the masses that headed to the Qatari embassy to thank the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad Al-Thani for his generous step affirming that the initiative reflected the deep fraternal ties between Arab and Muslim peoples.
Participants hoisted Palestinian and Qatari flags and placards supporting PA premier Ismail Haneyya.
Haneyya declared in Doha the Qatari step of paying salaries of all teachers in the PA lands and readiness to pay workers of the health sector if the need arises.
