The Hamas Movement has vehemently denounced the Talmudic lessons organized by extremist Jewish settlers groups near the Bab al-Rahma area at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In a press statement on Sunday the Movement said that this practice comes as part of the Israeli plans that aim at imposing the spatial and temporal division on the Al-Aqsa Mosque in order to change its Islamic identity.
The Movement held the Israeli occupation accountable for the repercussions of its Judaization plans against the Al-Aqsa Mosque affirming that the Palestinian people and resistance will defend the Mosque against the Israeli desecration by all means possible.
It called on the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to assume their responsibility and work towards protecting Occupied Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Israeli police have been storming the Bab al-Rahma area and its vicinities imposing restrictions on the Palestinian worshippers and preventing them from reaching the area.
In 2019 the Palestinian Jerusalemites managed to enforce the opening of the Bab al-Rahma prayer area after it had been closed by the Israeli police for 16 years.
