Mai Al-Kailah the Palestinian Minister of Health reported that 5 deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 453 new infections and 360 recoveries had been recorded during the last 24 hours.
Kailah stated in the daily epidemiological report of coronavirus that 5 deaths were recorded in the West Bank for a 65-year-old male citizen from Ya`bad a female 42 from Jenin a 64-year-old man from Tulkarem a woman 68 from al-Khalil and a 77-year-old male citizen from Bani Naim.
The new cases were distributed according to the following: al-Khalil (48) Nablus (104) Bethlehem (38) Qalqilya (23) Ramallah and Al-Bireh (39) Jenin (19) Jericho and Al Aghwar (7) Salfit (20) Tulkarem (29) Tubas (5) the Gaza Strip (111) and the suburbs of Jerusalem (10) the minister said.
Regarding recovery cases 247 cases were recorded in the West Bank as follows: 48 al-Khalil 15 Jenin 9 Salfit 23 Tulkarem 125 Ramallah and Al-Bireh 27 Tubas and 113 in the Gaza Strip she said.
The recovery rate reached 88.1 percent while the rate of active infections reached 11.1 percent and the death rate was 0.8% of all infections the minister elaborated.
Kailah pointed out that there are 41 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 8 who have been placed on ventilators.
