Mai Al-Kailah the Minister of Health in Ramallah announced on Saturday that 4 deaths 410 new infections with the coronavirus and 382 recoveries had been recorded during the past 24 hours.
88.2 percent of the total cases have been recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases reached 11 percent and the death rate was 0.8% of all infections she said.
The minister elaborated that 3 deaths were recorded in the West Bank for a female 86 from Barqa in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh province a 71-year-old male citizen from Husan in Bethlehem another male 59 from Al-Zawiya in Salfit in addition to a woman 70 from Gaza.
She added that 305 cases were recorded in the northern provinces as follows: 69 al-Khalil 22 Jenin 41 Qalqilya 26 Nablus 7 Salfit 25 Tulkarem 115 Bethlehem and 77 in the Gaza Strip.
The Minister said that the new cases were distributed according to the following: al-Khalil (22) Nablus (71) Bethlehem (42) Qalqilya (13) Ramallah and Al-Bireh (32) Jenin (19) Jericho and Al Aghwar ( 5) Salfit (12) Tulkarem (26) Tubas (4) the Gaza Strip (156) and the suburbs of Jerusalem (8).
Kailah pointed out that there are 36 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 8 who have been placed on ventilators.
