The Palestinian health ministry on Tuesday reported eight new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 513 new positive tests and 594 recoveries in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report seven of the new victims who died of the virus are from different areas of the West Bank and one from the Gaza Strip.
35 critically ill patients are also receiving intensive care in hospitals and six of them have been placed on ventilators.
87.9 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 11.3 percent and the rate of deaths is 0.8 percent of the total cases.
