The Palestinian health ministry on Monday reported six new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) and 543 new positive tests in the West Bank Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry’s daily report five of the new victims who died of the virus are from different areas of the West Bank and one from the Jerusalem district of Silwan.
363 patients also recovered from the disease in the northern provinces of the West Bank and 209 recoveries were recorded in Jerusalem city.
39 critically ill patients have also been admitted to intensive care units and five of them have been placed on ventilators.
87.7 percent of the total cases have recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases has reached 11.5 percent and the rate of deaths is 0.8 percent of the total cases.
