The Palestinian health ministry on Saturday reported that 442 new cases tested positive for COVID-19 and 281 patients recovered from the disease in the West Bank Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip during the last 24 hours.
For the first time in 52 days no new deaths associated with the virus were recorded on Saturday in Palestine according to the ministry’s daily report.
However 40 critically ill patients are in intensive care units and six of them are on ventilators.
As for the daily epidemiological situation the report stated that 87.5 percent of the total cases recovered from the disease while the rate of active cases reached 11.7 percent and the rate of deaths is 0.8 percent of the total cases.
