Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces stormed at dawn Sunday the house of political prisoner Musaab Shtayyeh in Nablus and savagely assaulted members of his family.
According to Akef Shtayyeh Musaab’s father PA soldiers viciously attacked him and members of his family as they were making preparations to hold a reception for his son Suhaib who will be released soon from an Israeli jail.
Shtayyeh explained that PA soldiers stormed the house and fired tear gas canisters inside it before assaulting them adding that he and some members of his family were injured in the attack.
“It was a barbaric raid that even the occupation forces do not dare to do. They beat us violently and I was injured. They wanted to arrest my brother who is over 60 years old” he added.
He described such behavior as a “violation of all norms” and an “action that can only be done by animals.”
He pointed out that the PA forces carried out their assault because of a banner celebrating the release of his son Suhaib.
As part of their security cooperation with the Israeli occupation state PA forces kidnaped Musaab Shtayyeh a member of the Hamas Movement on September 19 2022 after intercepting his car and assaulting him in Nablus City.
Despite the presence of three court verdicts ordering his release the PA security apparatuses still refuse to end his detention.
