GAZA (PIC)– The caretaker government headed by premier Ismail Haneyya called on the PA leadership to reconsider its wrong polices betting on the American role and to return to the ranks of Palestinian people warning that the security coordination with Israel is “unpatriotic” and serves the interests of Israel and its settlers.
“The Palestinian government is following up closely the developments taking place in the West Bank concerning the Israeli aggressions on the Nablus city and the heinous crimes committed by the IOF troops against Palestinian citizens which are being carried out consistently and simultaneously with the campaign of arrests waged by the PA security apparatuses in the ranks of resistance fighters” Taher Al-Nunu said Saturday in a statement received by the PIC.
Nunu emphasized the need for the immediate cessation of all meetings with the Israeli occupation adding that the continuation of these meetings provides political cover for Israel’s crimes in view of its aggressions in the West Bank and Gaza Strip and in the aftermath of killing dozens of Palestinians during few days.
The caretaker government charged that the Israeli aggressions on Nablus and the campaign of arrests waged by the PA security apparatuses in the West Bank are intended for showing goodwill gestures with the approach of US president George Bush’s impending visit to the region.
In another context Mushir Al-Masri the secretary-general of Hamas-affiliated change and reform parliamentary bloc confirmed that the talk about the presence of Fatah Al-Islam in the Gaza Strip is the handiwork of Fatah faction and the PA leadership and an extension to previous allegations made by PA chief Mahmoud Abbas about the presence of “Al-Qaeda” in the Strip with the aim of instigating the international community against Hamas.
Masri described the report as a “silly joke” and a “scandal” exposing advocates of sedition and siege in Ramallah pointing out that Fatah faction resorted to this flagrant means to incite the world against Hamas and the Gaza people.
The Hamas leader underlined that such lies do not deceive the Palestinian people not even the Israeli occupation or the international community suggesting that Fatah should look for more believable lies.
