A Palestinian child was seriously injured and several citizens were taken prisoners last night and at dawn Thursday during IOF campaigns in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
According to local sources a 16-year-old kid suffered a serious bullet injury and many others suffered from their exposure to tear gas during violent clashes with Israeli soldiers who stormed last night Surif town in the northwest of al-Khalil.
Meanwhile the IOF stormed al-Dahr area in Beit Ummar town north of al-Khalil and attacked local youths with tear gas leading many of them to suffocate from inhaling gas fumes. Citizens inside homes were also exposed to tear gas during the events.
In Nablus the IOF broke into and ransacked a house in Talaat street in the city and kidnaped a journalist called Tareq Abu Zaid. His laptop and cellphones were also confiscated from his home.
The IOF also kidnaped a young man called Adnan Abu Huwaila from his home in Nablus city and stormed Sebastia town northwest of Nablus where they attacked local youths with tear gas and stun grenades.
Another young man called Mohamed Basharat was kidnaped from his home in Tubas city.
Later the IOF stormed Kifl Hares town in Salfit and closed its western gate.
They also clashed with local youths in Ein Yabrud town in Ramallah and kidnaped five young men from the Ramallah towns of al-Mazra’a ash-Sharqiya and Deir Abu Masha’al.
In Bethlehem the IOF kidnaped 21-year-old Issa Abu Ahour from his home in al-Ain area near the Church of the Nativity. Clashes broke out between the IOF and local youths in the area.
In Jerusalem Israeli police forces stormed Issawiya district in the east of the holy city and kidnaped four citizens from their homes. They were identified as Yazan Obeid Samer Atiya Muneer Mahmoud and Majd Dari.
Several citizens were also taken prisoners during police raids on homes in at-Tur neighborhood to the east of the Old City of Jerusalem. Two of the detainees were identified as Ashraf al-Hadra and Bakr al-Maghribi.
