Mai Al-Kailah the Minister of Health in Ramallah announced on Sunday that 5 deaths 726 new cases of coronavirus and 296 recoveries have been recorded after conducting 4494 examinations in Palestine during the past 24 hours.
The minister indicated that the new infections were distributed to 124 in Occupied Jerusalem 512 in the Occupied West Bank and 90 in the Gaza Strip.
The 296 new recovery cases were distributed as follows: al-Khalil (64) Jenin (19) Salfit (12) the Occupied West Bank (95) the Gaza Strip (18) and Jerusalem (183).
The recovery rate of coronavirus reached 70.3 percent while the rate of active infections reached 29.1 percent and the death rate was 0.6% of all infections.
The new COVID-19 victims were identified as an 89-years-old citizen from Bethlehem a woman in Yatta 85 a man from Jericho 73 and two cases from Al-Tur and Silwan in Occupied Jerusalem.
Kailah indicated that there are 44 critically ill patients who have been admitted to intensive care units including 10 who have been placed on ventilators.
