Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at farmers in the eastern Khan Younis province in the southern Gaza Strip on Monday but no casualties were reported.
Media sources reported that IOF soldiers fired at a number of farmers and citizens who were moving along the border road known as Jaker east of Abu Taima neighborhood east of t Abasan town and Al-Farahin neighborhood east of Abasan Al-Kabeerah.
The sources indicated that a number of IOF snipers had climbed up earthen berms inside the fence in conjunction with the movement of military jeeps and a bulldozer in the place.
The farmers were forced to leave the area fearing for their lives.
Farmers in the border areas are routinely attacked by IOF in the east and north of the besieged Gaza Strip.
