Bahar slams Bahrain over its normalization deal with Israel

Sunday 13-September-2020

Ahmed Bahar first deputy speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council has denounced the Bahraini leadership for its normalization deal with the Israeli occupation state stressing that such regimes and governments are the biggest losers from their relations with the Jewish state.

In a press release on Saturday Bahar condemned the Bahraini deal with Israel as “dangerous” and “a new threat to the Arab and Muslim nations” but he expressed his confidence that the free peoples in the Arab and Islamic worlds would trample over such “frail agreements.”

The lawmaker warned against the consequences of running after the illusions of peace and normalization with the occupation state and called for necessarily developing a Palestinian Arab and Islamic strategy to confront the fever of normalization with the occupation.

He also stressed the importance of moving diplomatically and on the ground in order to curb the crime of normalization and isolate the normalizers.

US president Donald Trump last Friday announced that the Gulf state of Bahrain reached a deal to fully normalize its relations with Israeli and said it was the second Gulf country to make peace with Israel in 30 days.

Last month the United Arab Emirates (UAE) which already have ties with Israel under the table decided to normalize its relationship openly and officially with Israel and embarked immediately on taking steps in this regard.
