An Israeli settler ran over a Palestinian child on Sunday evening near the Kiryat Arba settlement which is built on al-Khalil lands in the occupied West Bank.
Eyewitnesses reported that a settler ran over the child with his vehicle moderately wounding him before fleeing the scene towards the Kiryat Arba settlement.
The Palestinian medical teams provided first aid to the injured child before taking him to the hospital for further treatment.
The Israeli occupation authorities usually disclaim responsibility for such incidents whether by military or settler vehicles and they refuse to provide any compensation to the injured.
Al-Khalil city and the towns of al-Zawiya and al-Lubban al-Sharqiyya near Nablus are the most common areas as far as such incidents are concerned and many of those incidents result in the death or injury of Palestinian citizens and most of them are registered against “unknown” perpetrators.
