The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Sunday carried out raids on homes in different West Bank areas and kidnapped about 12 Palestinian young men including one accused of killing a Jewish settler in Salfit several weeks ago.
The Israeli army claimed that its forces arrested last night eight wanted Palestinians accused of being involved in activities against soldiers and settlers adding that thousands of shekels were confiscated during one of its campaign in Beit Sahour town east of Bethlehem.
It also said that its forces found parts of a homemade weapon during overnight raids on homes in Barta’a al-Sharqiya town in Jenin as part of the campaign it had launched a few days ago following the car-ramming attack that was carried out by a local young man.
Meanwhile the Hebrew media said that the Israeli army arrested at dawn 19-year-old Abdul-Karim Assi who carried out a deadly stabbing attack near the illegal settlement of Ariel in Salfit one and a half month ago.
The Hebrew media added that Assi was arrested along with others who helped him to hide during a joint operation carried out by special forces and the Shin Bet Israel’s internal intelligence.
In Nablus local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that dozens of military vehicles and one civilian bus carrying soldiers stormed the city from different sides before they embarked on raiding homes in several neighborhoods.
They affirmed that five Palestinian citizens were kidnapped during the IOF campaign in Nablus.
Two other Palestinian citizens were taken prisoners during IOF campaigns in Bethlehem and Jayyous town near Qalqilya and three were kidnapped from al-Maghir town in Ramallah.
The IOF also stormed anew Barta’a al-Sharqiya town which is isolated by Israel’s separation wall in Jenin and broke into homes belonging to the family of Qabha whose relative carried out a car-ramming attack near Mevo Dotan settlement last Friday.
Israeli soldiers went on the rampage during the IOF campaign in the besieged town causing heavy material damage to furniture and cars and assaulting citizens according to local sources.
