An Israeli judge on Thursday sentenced Palestinian MP Ahmed Attoun to four months administrative detention without trial or charge.
Israeli occupation forces (IOF) had detained Attoun from his home in Ramallah on 26/8/2020.
He was previously held in custody on various occasions ever since he was elected as member of the Palestinian legislative council on Hamas’s list in Occupied Jerusalem in 2006. He was also banished from the holy city in 2011.
Meanwhile another Israeli judge ordered the administrative detention of Palestinian physics professor Emad el-Barghouthi without trial or charge.
The IOF had arrested Barghouthi an ex-detainee on 16/7/2020 at Enata roadblock to the north east of Occupied Jerusalem.
The 53-year-old physicist was previously detained on three different occasions one of them while heading to attend an international scientific conference.
