Three Palestinian siblings died after a fire broke out in their house in Nuseirat camp in the besieged Gaza Strip on Tuesday.
The PIC reporter said: The children Muhammad Mahmoud and Youssef aged between 4 and 6 years died after a fire broke out in their family home due to a candle that was lit to compensate for the lack of electricity.
The charred bodies of the three children were taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza Strip.
The father of the three children had lighted a candle because of the power outage.
The Gaza Strip which is besieged for 14 years suffers from a cumulative and growing electricity crisis. The periods of power outages reach more than 16 continuous hours. Hence Palestinian families in Gaza resort to alternative sources of lighting including candles.
