The Hamas leader Mushir al-Masri has said that Palestinian resistance factions in the Gaza Strip will not remain silent as Israel continues to escalate the siege on the enclave.
Al-Masri said that the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are subjected to “slow death” and have “nothing to lose”.
He stressed that Israel’s attempts to take advantage of the worsening living conditions and the coronavirus crisis to tighten its grip on the blockaded Gaza Strip will not succeed.
The Hamas leader warned that the resistance attacks will continue and that the Israelis will be besieged in their own shelters.
A wave of escalation has erupted between Palestinian resistance factions in the Gaza Strip and Israel during the past two weeks over the launching of fire balloons by Palestinians towards Israeli settlements as a way to pressure Israel to lift the 13-year-long blockade on Gaza.
