A Palestinian youth was shot dead by the Israeli police on Monday evening near Hitta Gate which leads to al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem.

Israeli media reports claimed that the Palestinian youth was shot after he stabbed and injured an Israeli police officer.

Palestinian eyewitnesses said that the martyr whose identity has not been known yet was shot and left to bleed to death and the Palestinian Red Crescent crew who rushed to the scene were ordered to stay away and prevented from providing first aid to the young man.

The Israeli police after the shooting assaulted the Palestinian citizens who were present in the area forced them out and closed the doors of al-Aqsa Mosque.

Israeli police forces on Saturday morning killed a Palestinian youth in Bab al-Asbat area near al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.

Israeli media sources claimed that Israeli police officers stationed at Bab al-Asbat opened fire at a Palestinian youth who allegedly attempted a stabbing attack.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that the young man was shot and deliberately left to bleed to death without being provided first aid.

A spokesman for the Israeli police said in a statement that a Palestinian young man was killed and a woman who present in the scene was wounded in the incident.

No information has been revealed regarding the identity of the murdered youth yet.
