The Israeli occupation army on Sunday morning closed the Gaza Strip’s offshore fishing zone entirely following a night of cross-border clashes with local youths and dawn air raids.
According to a statement released by the office of the coordinator of government activities Israel war minister Benny Gantz ordered the closure of Gaza sea until total calm in the south is restored.
The Israeli army already closed Gaza border crossings and launched a wave of aerial attacks on the coastal enclave in recent days in response to the launching of incendiary balloons toward Israeli areas.
Officials in Gaza had warned many times that the situation in the besieged Strip could explode if Israel did not honor its pledges under the last ceasefire understandings to ease the siege and stop its attacks on fishermen and their boats.
