The Palestinian health ministry in Ramallah said on Sunday that there were four new deaths associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 330 new positive tests and 470 recoveries in Palestinian areas during the last 24 hours.
224 of these new coronavirus cases were recorded in Jerusalem province 40 new cases in al-Khalil 3 in Ramallah and al-Bireh 8 in Tulkarem 4 in Bethlehem 14 in Jenin 20 in Nablus 11 in Jericho and 6 in Qalqilya.
According to the ministry’s daily report the rate of recovery among COVID-19 patients in the West Bank and Jerusalem has climbed to 36 percent the rate of active cases has decreased to 63.4 percent and the rate of deaths is still stable compared to the number of new cases standing at 0.6 percent.
Accordingly the total number of active cases has declined to 8320 while the total number of patients who recovered has increased to 4726 and the death toll has risen to 78.
12 of the COVID-19 patients are in critical conditions and receiving intensive medical care and two others have been placed on ventilators according to the report.
