The Palestinian health ministry in Ramallah said on Saturday that there were one new death associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) 382 new positive tests and 627 recoveries in Palestinian areas during the last 24 hours.
According to its daily report the rate of recovery among COVID-19 patients in the West Bank and Jerusalem has climbed to 33.2 percent the rate of active cases has decreased to 66.2 percent and the rate of deaths has seen stability compared to the number of new cases standing at 0.6 percent.
Accordingly the total number of active cases has declined to 8464 while the total number of patients who recovered has increased to 4256 and the death toll has risen to 74.
The ministry also stated in its report that the number of new cases in al-Khalil province decreased on a daily basis and the recovery rate increased.
During the last 24 hours the ministry recorded 307 new recovery cases in al-Khalil 300 in Jerusalem 12 in Jenin and 8 in Bethlehem.
However Jerusalem has seen an increase in the number of infected people with 170 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours.
15 critically ill patients have also been admitted to intensive care units and three others have been placed on ventilators according to the report.
The new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in different provinces as the following:
Jerusalem: 220 cases.
Al-Khalil: 64 cases.
Ramallah and Bireh: 5 cases.
Tulkarem: 13 cases.
Bethlehem: 8 cases.
Jenin: 1 case.
Nablus: 34 cases.
Jericho: 32 cases.
Qalqilya: 4 cases.
Salfit: 1 case.
