IOF assaults arrests Palestinian workmen near Tulkarem

Friday 24-July-2020

Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday afternoon assaulted and abducted a number of Palestinian workmen in Baqa village north of the West Bank city of Tulkarem.

Local sources reported that the IOF heavily fired rubber-coated metal bullets and stun grenades at dozens of Palestinian workers at a gate in the apartheid wall near Tulkarem and arrested a number of them.

Those who were taken captives were physically assaulted by the IOF soldiers before they were transferred to an undeclared destination.

Local sources reported that the IOF soldiers deployed in large numbers in the area which was sealed off after the incident.

Over 50000 Palestinian citizens on almost a daily basis enter the Palestinian territories occupied since 1948 through gates and holes in the apartheid wall because of the lack of job opportunities in the West Bank and work permits by the Israeli authorities.

The workmen are usually harassed blackmailed assaulted arrested or shot at by the IOF soldiers as they leave or return through these gates.
