Father Atallah Hanna has strongly denounced the Israeli occupation police for raiding Yabous Cultural Center and the National Conservatory of Music in Jerusalem and arresting their managers Rania Elias and Suhail Khoury.
In press remarks Father Hanna Archbishop of the Palestinian Orthodox Church in Occupied Jerusalem described the detention of Elias and Khoury as “an outrageous and rude assault on the Palestinian culture in the holy city and a miserable attempt to undermine Palestinian cultural and national institutions.”
He also called what happened “an extremely serious escalatory step” stressing that the Israeli targeting of Palestinian cultural figures in Jerusalem is “a hostile act against the Jerusalemite people” and their culture and institutions in the holy city.
