The Israeli occupation army on Monday notified a Palestinian citizen of its decision to appropriate a swath of land near the Za’atara crossing in the east of Yasuf village in Salfit.
According to local sources a Palestinian citizen called Khalil Yassin owns part of the 1400 square-meter land which the Israeli army intends to seize.
The landowner was given 40 days to file an objection to the military decision.
Meanwhile the Israeli army bulldozed a vast tract of Palestinian land belonging to Kisan village east of Bethlehem in order to expand the illegal settlement of Ibei Hanahal.
Chief of the village Ahmed Ghazal said that the Israeli army bulldozed about 10 dunums of land and embarked on erecting electricity poles in the area.
