The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday morning detained two Palestinian young men at the Qalandiya crossing in northern Jerusalem claiming that one of them tried to carry out a stabbing attack according to eyewitnesses.
The Hebrew media affirmed that only one Palestinian young man was detained after his behavior aroused suspicion claiming that he was found in possession of a knife.
Two soldiers were slightly injured while detaining the young man who also sustained injuries after he was violently subdued.
Israel’s Channel 13 reported that the wounds sustained by the soldiers were not from the knife.
Following the incident the IOF closed the crossing causing a heavy build-up of traffic on both sides of the road.
