The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday announced that five COVID-19 (coronavirus) cases have been detected in the enclave.
The Ministry of Health said in a brief statement that five Palestinians who recently returned to the Gaza Strip from abroad and remained in quarantine tested positive for COVID-19.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Gaza since March has increased to 66.
According to the Ministry of Health 18 cases have recovered while 47 patients are still receiving treatment at quarantine centers.
The Gaza Strip has recorded one COVID-19 death for a woman in her seventies.
